Speeding truck knocks two dead at Talegaon village
A SPEEDING truck killed two people on the spot and left another injured after the truck driver lost control over the vehicle and ended up hitting the victims who were travelling on a mobike. The incident took place on Monday morning at Sarwadi bus stop in Talegaon village of the district on NH6.
As per informationgiven by police. Arun Sahare (40). a resident of Yenada. Chandrashekhar Waghade (30). resident of Drugwada and Omprakash Prabhakar Sahare (25). a resident of Khanwadi. were rising a Hero NXG motorcycle (MH-32/T- 6285). They were on their way to Saoner in Nagpur district to attend a marriage function. At 9.30 am they took a brief halt at Sarwadi bus stop when the speeding and recklessly driven truck hit all of them. The truck dragged the motorcycle uplo a distance of 100 feet. Arun and Chandrashekhar were killed on the spot while Omprakash sustained serious injuries. He was rushed to rural hospital in Karanja by people. Police sent the bodies to Arvi hospital for post-mortem.
Meanwhile, the frightened truck driver took to his heels soon after the mishap, leaving the vehicle behind.
