NFWLY appointed Divisional Commissioner and District Collector of Amravati took information about the various problems in Melghat in the district in the review meeting of Navsanjivan scheme organised recently at Chikhaldara Municipal Council.

Speaking on the occasion Divisional Commissioner Rajurkar narrated the need of co-ordination between vario us departments to solve problems like malnutrition, child deaths and migration. Health department, women and child welfare department and supply department should work in tandem with each other to reduce the problem of malnutrition. It is necessary to pay attention towards the food provided from Anganwadis. he said.
Detailed discussion occured on the effective implementation of MREGS to stop the migration tribals from Melghai in search of work. Rajurkar also ordered 10 check whether people are gelling food from Fair Price Shops in lime or not.
District Collector Kiran Gitte said (hat administrative staff should deal with the issue of malnutrition with sensitivity. Concerned authorities should find out reasons of child deaths so that more such incidents could be avoided.
Bandya Sane of Khoj organisation informed about the problems in Melghat and suggested measures to solve those. Officials of Tribal department. Forest department. EGS and other departments were present in the meeting.
