Maher Sanstha to organise symbolic Dahi Handi today

                                                                           

MAHER Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha and Lions Club of Amravati have jointly organised symbolic Dahi Handi, dance and Radha Krishna dress competition on August 23 at Shri Hanuman Vyayam Prasarak Mandal (HVPM). Surekha Lungare of Maher Bahuuddeshiva Sanstha informed about these organisations in a press conference here. Lungare said that they used to organised 'Dahi Handis for women since last eight years in the city. To avoid any problems due to restrictions put by court on the organisation of 'Dahi Handi'. this year symbolic Dahi Handi will be organised. In addition to that, a dance competition. Radha Krishna dress competition and other cultural programmes. The programmes has been organised to conserve the tradition of 'Dahi Handi' and to inspire women.

All programmes will be conducted at 2 pm at HVPM auditorium hall. Girls and women above 16 can participate in the dance competition. Winner of the competition will be given prize of Rs 1001 while the winner group will be given prize of Rs 15.001. Radha Krishna dress competition has been organised from students in the age group of 1 to 6 and another of 7 and 8 years. Winners will be given attractive prizes.

Madhuri Chendke. Secretary of HVPM. Pradeep Khedkar of Cosmos bank. Vivek Agrawal of Induslnd bank will be chief guests. Shrichand Bhojwani. HarshaWadhe. Bhawana Kudale. Sangita Shinde. Asha Solav were present at press conference.
