IN the absence of many public representatives including Guardian Minister Radhekrishna Vikhe Patil state-level Shahu. Fule. Ambedkar Award. Sani Ravidas Award and Padmashri Karmaveer Dadasaheb Gaekwad Award for the year 2014-15 were given on Monday in a programme organised here at Sanl Dnyaneshwar Sanskritik Bhavan. The programme was organised by Social Welfare Department of the State.

Prof Virendra Jagtap. Adv Yashomati Thakur. Anil Bonde, Ahhijii Adsul. Kcvalram Kale and Ravi Rana did not bother to attend the ceremony organised by government itself to honour persons and institute working for (he uplift-men! of backwards in ihe Scale. ShivajiraoMoghe. Minister of Social Justice. Sanjay Sawkare. Minister of State for Social Justice Department. Surekha Thakare. President of AmravaliZillaParishad. Mayor Vandana Kangale. Shrikant Deshpande. MLC, Raosaheb Shekhawal. MLA. Dnyaneshwar Rajurkar. Divisional Commissioner. R D Shinde. Secretary of Social Justice and Special Assistance Department. Ranjeetsingh Deol. Commissioner of Social Welfare Department. M M Atram. Additional Commissioner. Wadate. Under Secretary and many others were prominently present for the programme.
Social Welfare Department has successfully implemented many innovative schemes for the welfare of the people and specially for the backward and financially weaker sections of society. Large number of people from backward class got henefils of Slate Government schemes, said Moghe while speaking on me occasion.
Addressing further Minisier said that Social Justice Department has started e-scholarship scheme considering the problems and faced by students and about 32.36 lakh students have enrolled themselves for the e-scholarship across the state. About 2.25 lakh Gharkuls have been allotted to Below Poverty Line people under Ramai Awas Yojana. he said.Moghe further added that State Government also has started Rajecv Gandhi Awas Yojana for the BPL beneficiaries from OBC. VJNT and Open Category. Till next year all beneficiaries in different categories will get homes from this scheme.
