Sawarla PHG Health Officer arrested taking bribe

ANTI-CORRUPTION Bureau (ACB) sleuths caught Health Officer Amar Dattuji Shende (52), a rest dent of Paoni. redhanded taking bribe of Rs 6.000 on Tuesday.

A complainant working in Priman Health Centre at Sawarla in Paon tehsil lodged a complaint with ACE that Health Officer Shende is demanding a bribe of Rs 6.000 and threat ening him that if he does not given the amount he complaint to the senior authorities and he will lose hi; job.

On the basis of complaint lodged on August 14. the ACB sleuths laid a trap at Shende's residence in Paon and caught him red-handed taking bribe. An offence was registers against Amar Shende under relcvan sections and further investigation: are on.
