'Implement projects for weak students
"TEACHERS should implement independent educational projects using their skills for students who lag behind in academically. Efforts should be taken to bring such students at par with bright students." said Dnyaneshwar Rajurkar, Amravati Divisional Commissioner. He was delivering guest speech at Sant Gadge Maharaj Vidyalaya and Priyanka Primary School. Nawathe Nagar run by Apang Jeevan Vikas Sanstha. Amravati recently. School uniforms were distributed among poor and needy students in the programme.
Dilip Edatkar. Editor of daily archaired the programme. Dr Subhash Gavai. SGAU Senate Member, and Kishor Borkar. President of Apang Jeevan Vikas Sanstha. were the chief guests.
Rajurkar further said that only passing an examination is not enough for students to achieve development. Merit of the student cannot be decided on the basis of percentage in examination. he opined. He further stressed on the need to provide similar educational facilities to rural and urban students He also appealed teachers to try and develop various artistic skills among students along with their educational progress. Dilip Edatkar. in his presidential speech, expressed concerns over rising commercialisation of education field and stressed on the need to follow in the footsteps of Savitribai Phule for providing education to every person in the society.

At the outset, Dnyaneshwar Rajurkar and guests distributed school uniforms to the needy and poor students. Kishor Borkar felicitated Rajurkar with a shawl, shrifal and an idol of Dr Babasaheh Ambcdkar. Felicitation of Balckar. retired teacher from Nawathe Nagar. took place at the hands of Rajurkar. Balekar had donated Rs 5000 to the school. Vasundhara Borkar conducted the proceedings while Pramod Dankhedc proposed a vote of thanks. Pralhad Thakare. Adv PSKhadse.
