Ex-minister Bodkhe, 7 others go absconding: Accumulating property


ALL eight accused including former minister Ramdas Bodkhe went absconding after Akot Police registered offence against them on Tuesday on the charges of accumulating unaccounted property. The action was taken under the guidance of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Dy SP Ultam Jadhav. Minister Ramdas Bodkhe and his soas Sanjay. Vijay Deepak, Pramod, Manoj. Pravin and Bharat and brother Devidas went absconding. Ramdas Bodkhe was Minister of State for EGS during 1999-2004. During this period he purchased properties in the name of his relatives, it was alleged in the complaint lodged by former Akoi Civic Chief Purushottam Choukhande. Charges were made that property worth Rs 30 lakh was unaccounted for.
After the complaint in this regard was lodged. Dy SP B W More had investigated the matter and a report was submitted to ACB.
Acting on the report offences have been registered under Ami-Corruption Act 1988 section 13(1) <E) and 13 (2) and section 109 of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
