Mishap victim succumbs

THE 58-year-old man. who was injured seriously after a speeding car hi! him ai Ajni Square on July 20. succumbed to his injuries during treatment at a private hospital on Friday morning.

A resident of old Ajni. behind Chuna Bhatti. Dilip Bhivaji Hadke (58) was on way to Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDCi area on a bicycle around 10 pm on July 20.

At Ajni Square, a speeding Tata Manza car (MH-31/DK-7616) driven by Ashirvad Prakashrao Vanikar (34). a resident of Chhatrapati Nagar. hit Hadke injuring him seriously.

Hadke was admitted to Columbia Hospital. Dhantoli. where he breathed his last around 6 am on Friday.

On the basis of a complaint lodged by Shraddha Hadke (22). daughter of the deceased. Dhantoli Police registered an offence under Sections 279 and 304(A) of the IPC against the car driver.

Further investigations are under way.
