Cong to stage agitation in Chanda


IN a unique protest. Chandrapur Zilla Mazdoor Congress, a wing of Congress party, has decided to stage 'Rail Dekho-Bus Dekho' agitation on August 9 to draw the attention of public and Central Government on the issue of formation of separate Vidarbha state.
The office-bearers of Congress activists in all 15 tehsils will tie the bands on the hands of visitors at bus stands and railway station in the district on August 9.
The activists of Congress party will gather at various points in the city and stage protests highlighting the plight of Vidarbha on Saturday demanding separate statehood of Vidarbha. They will offer the bands to visitors who will travel in the buses and trains and will ensure that visitors do not face any trouble.
Janmanch. a pro-Vidarbha organisation has already declared to stage the Rail Dekho-Bus Dekho for the same cause on Saturday in Vidarbha region. Earlier, the NGOs had conducted a referendum on Vidarbha state at Amravati. Nagpur. Chandrapur and Yavatmal demanding separate statehood to Vidarbha.
Everyone in Vidarbha region are in the favour for separate state. "Hence, we will also the stage Rail Dekho-Bus Dekho to draw the attention of general public and Union Government." said Sainath Buche. senior activist of Chandrapur Zilla Mazdoor Congress while addressing the mediapersons at Press Club. Meanwhile, he pointed out Nitin Gadkari. failed to keep his own promise during the election period, who had already self-declared to raise the voice in the favour of separate Vidarhha. stated Buche in the press conference.
