THE District administration has been Caking efforts to create awareness among voters regarding the the importance of voting. In this connection, a cycle rally was organised here recently in which youths, school and college students and office-hearers of different organisations had participated.

The cycle rally was flagged off by Flection Observer Indu Dhar and Sukhchain Singh. District Collector and Returning Officer Ramchandra Kulkarni , Deputy Election Officer B K Ingale, administrative officers and members of the business communilywerealso present on die occasion.

At the outset, Washim Collector Kulkami enlightened the gathering about the programme of Systemic Voters Education and Electoral  Participation

Committee (SVEEP) undertaken by the District Administration to increase the percentage voting in the district.

He also congratulated the youths and students for participating in the cycle rally in good numbers.

Election Observers Indu Dhax and Sukhchain Singh also addressed the rally and they too thanked the youths and students for their participation in theelec-tion awareness process.
