PDKV opens agri processing centre in Amravati
AN AGRICULTURAL processing centre was inaugurated al Kokarda in Anjanga on Surjitaluka of Amravati district recently. The center has been developed under the technical guidance of All India Coordinated Research Project on Post-Harvest Technology of Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidvapeeth (PDKV).
The centre was inaugurated at the hands of Dr Raviprakash Dani. Vice-Chancellor of PDKV. Dr PG Ingole. Director of Research, and Dr Chaltaranjan Gangade. Dean of Agriculture Department, and Dilip Mahalle University Engineer, were chiefly present on the occasion.
Research Engineer Dr Pradip Borkar gave the introductory speech lo elaborate on the objectives of the processing center.
Milharamji. Chief of Entrepreneurship Development department of Shri Sam Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering. Shegaon, informed the audience about different government schemes and asked (hem to take advantage of these schemes for rural development.
Dr Ingole called upon farmers to focus on agricultural processing in addition to farming.
Vice-Chancellor Dr Raviprakash Dani said that establishment of agriculture processing centres at Kanzara and Kokarda is a laudable activity of the University.
