One gets rigorous imprisonment for attacking man with axe

ARUN Dhawale. Chief District and Session Judge today sentenced 4 years of rigourous imprisonment to an accused who had injured one person from the same village by attacking with axe on his head. The incident look place at Kesarwadi village of Bhatkuli tchsil of the district on Feb. 8. 2012. Subhash Vitthal Deshmukh is the name of the convict.

According to the information. Ajab Gulab Sultan (60) from Kesarwadi village in Bhatkuli Tehsil of the district has an farm at his residing village beside the farm of Subhash Vitthal Deshmukh (50) from the same village.

Ajab Sultan had sown Gram crop in his farm in 2012 and had cut down Some Of the crop. Subhash strayed the animals in the Ajab's farm which damaged the crop incurring loss.This resulted into quarrel between Ajab Sultan and Subhash Deshmukh. In a fit of rage. Subhash Deshmukh had attacked with axe on Ajab Sultan in which Sultan had sustained severe injuries on his head. Sanjay Deshmukh who has an farm near to Ajab Sultan's farm along with his son Shivdas look injured Sulian ai Bhatkuli Police Station in the hullockcart and was then rushed to hospital.

Bhatkuli Police on the complaint from injured Ajab Sultan lodged an offence against Subhash Deshmukh under section 326 and 307 Of IPC. Sarjerao Babar. then then Police Inspector from Bhatkuli Police Station after investigating the case has submitted an charge-sheet at the Court. Arun Dhawale. Chief District and Session Judge after cross examining 10 witnesses out of which 4 have got hostile. Subhash was sentenced 4 years of rigourous imprisonment and also fined Rs 25.000 . In case failing to deposit the fine another one year imprisonment of I years.

Judge also ordered to give the amount of fine to complainant Ajab Sultan. Adv M J Beig was the Public-Prosecutor in the case.
