Tushar, Siddharth stun top seeded players
UNDER the hot and humid conditions, the opening day of the All India Tennis Championship witnessed biggest upseis as local lad Tushar Mandlekar and Siddhanh Vishwakarma (Utlar Pradesh) outplayed their rivals Chinmay Pradhan (second seed) and Shek Abdulah (first seed) of the tournament at the VIP Club here on Wednesday. It may be mentioned that Shek Abdulah has I6th all India ranking while Chinmay Pradhan is seeded 38lh in boys category. The championship has been jointly organised by All India Tennis Association and Chhattisgarh State Tennis Association.
Taking on second seed Chinmay Pradhan (Odisha). Chhattisgarh boy Tushar Mandlekar showed gritty confidence and played crafty tennis to score easy first set victory 6-1. The second set saw Tushar lost his winning tempo and Chinmay latched on to opportunity by registering 6-1 win to level the game. Shocked by the sudden comeback of the rival, Tushar geared-up his playing skills and concentrate of baseline game. He surge into lead and then never looked back to score shocking 6-3 victory in the deciding game.
On the day of upset. Siddarth Vishwakarma sent packing the top seed of the tournament Shek Abdulah 7-5 and 6-3. The winner displayed his class through the game despite cliff hanger situation in the first set.

Men Singles V Wahgela bt Shrinivas 6-2,6-1 and Jayesh Pungaliya bt V Bandalam (Andhra Pradesh) 6-2. 6-3.
