5,686 students appeared for GGPET in Durg
AROUND 5.686 students appeared for the Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test (CGPET) 2014 at the Durg district on Thursday. The Chairman of Oihattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB) also visited the examination centers in noon hours.
According to the information of Dr. Deepak Karkun, Chief Coordinator of the examination and principal of Government VYT Post Graduate College Durg, Informed total 5908 students were registered for CGPET-2014 in the district and among them. 5686 appeared for the examination and remained 222 were absent. The examination was held at II allotted examination centers of the district (9 in Durg and 2 in Bhilai). The examination was conducted in a peaceful manner and untoward incidence was reported from any of the examination centers. He further said that the CGPET 2014 was held in morning shift from 9 am to 12.15 pin while in noon hours (2 to 5.15 pm) CGPPHT (Chhattisgarh Pre Pharmacy Examination) was held in two allotted exam centers of the district (Govt. VYT College and Bhilat Institute of Technology-BIT in Dure). K Suhramanyam. Chairman of CPEB visited the examination centers of CPPHT at Durg and appreciated Durg district for better arrangements.
The question paper of CGPET-2014 consisted of 150 questions (50 questions each from Physics. Chemistry and Madiematics section). Due to the absence of negative markings for wrong answers, students appeared in the paper in a relax manner. The aspirants of the examination said while the Physics paper was numerical based. Mathematics was little tough and Chemistry was easiest among the three subjects in the paper.
Aradhana Puri. an aspirant from Sector 9 Bhilat, stated 'Physics Paper was lengthy as it took time to solve the numerical. There were some lengthy parts in some portions of Mathematics too otherwise the paper was not tough and I have solved it in the stipulated time period*.
'The questions of Chemistry were easy as most of (hem asked from Organic Chemistry portion. Very new questions were asked from Physical Chemistry which takes some time due to its numerical pattern' stated Ravish Bhatt. another aspirant from Adarsh Nagar.
As compared to JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) CEPET is not so tough owing to the availability of large number of engineering seals (over 19000) in the different state based technical institutions of the Male but still it is vital for students of rural and many urban areas who could
